Vibrations Revolutionize Mixing Technology

Plain City, OH - By combining vibrations and simple design techniques a unique Vibratory Mixer has been introduced by the Alb. Klein Technology Group of Plain City, Ohio. Without resorting to rotating parts such as augers, wheels, screws or paddles the novel Klein Vibratory Mixer can mix, blend or coat granular bulk materials with powders and liquids more efficiently and quicker than conventional mixers.

“After considerable development work we found that the Klein Vibratory Mixer is especially well suited for applications requiring low or no shear mixing or blending” states Chris Doerschlag, President and GM of Alb. Klein Technology Group. “The state of the art machine” he says, “has no rotating parts in the mixing bowl and featuring a removable mixing bowl makes for easy cleaning.”

The Klein Vibratory Mixer is designed as a self contained, continuous batch mixing system complete with built-in bulk material metering hopper, liquid and powder metering systems and state of the art electronic controls for addition of precisely metered mix components and cycle functions, eliminating the need for additional equipment such as transfer pumps, level sensors or weigh scales.

In applications requiring even and consistent coating of granular bulk materials with viscous liquids the Klein Vibratory Mixer has demonstrated savings in coating materials of up to 30%. Short cycle times, measured in seconds, assure constantly freshly mixed material for processes requiring low exposure to atmospheric conditions to minimize material degradation before further processing of mixed batches.
