    The Klein Sanding system for Rail Vehicles allows an operator to safely replenish the sand supply in the vehicle sand boxes easily, quickly and automatically without dust contamination of the surrounding areas.

    The process is similar to refueling automobiles. The vehicle is positioned near the sand filling stations. The operator lifts a nozzle assembly from it’s holder and inserts the nozzle tip into the filler spout of the vehicle’s sand box. The operator then opens a valve and the sand starts to flow into the sandbox. When the sandbox is full sand flow stops automatically. The dust laden air from the filling process is collected through the special nozzle and piped away for filtering.
